CONNECTIVITY
In Singapore, mobile data is affordable and fast. Find your way around easily using Google/Apple Maps, Facebook, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

Buy pre-paid mobile SIM cards at convenience stores like 7-11 or Cheers, SingTel, M1, or Starhub. You will need your passport to purchase the SIM card. There are also many public and free Wifi hotspots but the quality of connectivity may vary.

GETTING AROUND
Singapore has a wonderful and renowned public transportation system.

MRT

To access the MRT go to any major station and approach the "Passenger Service" window. Ask how to buy a temporary MRT card that you can top-up with cash. This avoids queueing too long for per-trip-cards. Check out the Singapore MRT map here.

Stations of interest

  • Harbourfront - Connects to Sentosa Express station via Vivo City mall

Taxis and ride share apps

However, the MRT can get crowded especially on weekends. Taxis are cheap when shared. Max 4 passengers. Download these apps: Grab or Comfort Delgro.

SENTOSA ISLAND
Weekends are very busy. Expect long queues at Sentosa Express station at Vivo City mall. Sentosa Express (train) only opens at 7am and the queue to buy tickets can get very long. The last trip to leave Sentosa by the Sentosa Express is at 10pm.

All cars/taxis getting in Sentosa will need to pay a flat fee regardless of how many passengers. It can also get busy at the gantries, so plan well!

Our opening ceremony starts early, and you won't want to miss it!
