We are grateful for the support of our sponsors for the Singapore Ocean Cup and making our annual event a "Race Without Waste."
Since 2019 club members, students from local universities and polytechnics, as well as government ministries all participated in various outings to remove plastic and waste from the ocean around the Islands near Sentosa.
In support of this cause, all single use plastic is banned from Singapore Ocean Cup. We ask you to please bring your re-usable bottles, and not bring any single use plastic of any kind into the race site.
Birth of a new race
Over the last few years, strong support for our "Race Without Waste" at Singapore Ocean Cup has further emboldened our efforts in cleaning up the waters around Sentosa.
And so, in 2022, the Minister's Cup Race was borne from the Singapore Ocean Cup, as a race with special emphasis on marine conservation and sustainability. The important message of our impact on marine life is one that should reach all, and in our commitment of that, the Minister's Cup Race is truly inclusive and diverse, including categories for both youths and persons with disabilities.
You can find more information about the Minister's Cup Race here.
